Garett celebrated his ten month birthday with a trip to Pinehurst, North Carolina to visit with family and with a trip to the emergency room. A picture frame fell off a table he was trying to pull up on at Grandma's house and cut his finger badly. It was a dramatic scene there for a while, with his finger bleeding like crazy, him crying, and us trying to figure out what to do. But, he was a real trooper and, as you can see above, was all smiles by the time we left the hospital.
Grandma has the nicest pool! We enjoyed splashing and soaking up the sun. Guess we know where Garett's crazy spikey hair comes from.
Aunt Natalie says I'm going to be a real heartbreaker one of these days! What do you think?
Garett-bear sure loves his Grandma Linda and just loves lovin' on his Grandpa Greg. We were so glad to see Greg up and about and doing well recovering from surgery.
And the gang's all here! Garett with his Kentucky cousins Connor and Cade, and his North Carolina cousins Zach and Leah.
By the time we got home Sunday evening, Garett's finger was already looking better. Here he is early the next week, eating breakfast with his left hand. He hasn't let it slow him down a bit, especially when there are bananas and fresh summer blueberries to be had!
