"Room service anyone?" Garett and I tagged along with Daddy to a few more fellowship interviews this past month. Our first stop - Louisville, Kentucky for Gene's interview at Leatherman Spine Center. I'm pretty sure we gained at least 5lbs apiece; we only had a day and a half, but we managed to squeeze in several of our favorite restaurants - Kashmir, Skyline, The Bristol, and Lynn's Paradise Cafe.

Garett shows some love to a Derby horse in downtown Louisville after lunch at The Spaghetti Factory, one of my favorite childhood memories of visiting Louisville.

Mommy shows Garett some love.

We took Garett to the Louisville Science Center for the afternoon. Wow, did that bring back memories from my childhood!

The best part about being home again - hands down - getting to see family! Garett got to spend lots of time with MiMi and GooGoo, as well as take his Great-grandma Juanita out to breakfast. We even squeezed in a quick stop at Aunt Anne and Uncle Chip's house in Tennessee on our way to Gene's next interview at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.

Now that's a "large mouth" bass! Garett and I spent the day at the McWane Science Center while Gene was at his interview. We had a blast - easily the most impressive interactive children's museum I've ever seen.

Splish-splashing the day away at McWane!

Last stop - Durham, North Carolina for Gene's interview at Duke. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Long for babysitting Garett so we could enjoy a weekend alone. As much as we both love Garett, I have to admit it was really nice to sleep in, stay out late, and to enjoy a nice dinner out without having to dodge flying food or worry about staving off a tantrum.

We stayed at the most amazing B&B - The Arrowhead Inn. Thanks as well to Phil and Gloria, the innkeepers, for everything you did to make our weekend together so special.
Our log cabin, just steps away from the main house, was so warm and charming.
