The past three months have gone by in the blink of an eye. I look back at pictures of Garett when we first brought him home from the hospital and can hardly believe how much he has grown in such a short time. This month has been full of changes. Our little man has found his voice and is making lots of sounds, giggling and cooing. He has been working very hard at rolling over and batting at toys with his hands. He is carefully observing the world around him, seeing and hearing things that he barely noticed before. There are moments when I am a bit sad that Garett is no longer my tiny newborn baby, but those moments are quickly eclipsed by the joy of seeing him do new things every day and the wonder of what is to come next.
Garett is pictured above with the rattle his Daddy gave him at birth and the diaper cover hand-embroidered for him by my Aunt Frances.
Cousins Zach and Leah come to visit for the weekend. Poor Garett and Mommy were sick with a cold, but we were so glad to spend time with family. Gene taught Zach how to make Grandma Kate's weinersnitzel - what a yummy treat!
Mommy and Garett surprise Daddy when he comes home from work. The jumper Garett is wearing belonged to his Daddy when he was a baby.
Garett loves wearing this jumper! He must instinctively know he looks adorable in it.
Mommy and Garett outside on a crisp November day.
Check out that tummy - someone's getting chubby!
Daddy covers Garett in kisses before his bedtime bath.
Garett and Abigail Duffee hanging out and watching the Louisville Cardinals kick some serious Kentucky Wildcat butt.
Garett better watch out! As good lookin' as he is, we have a feeling all the ladies will be coming after him like this in no time.
"Um, a little help here, please? Mommy? Daddy? Anyone?" We're not quite sure how this happened. Garett was playing with the rings on his tummy one minute and, the next thing we knew, they were acting as flotation devices.
